Hajjah: A meeting held on Sunday in Hajjah Governorate, chaired by Governor Hilal Al-Soufi, discussed a field inspection plan to assess and support organizational development in a number of agricultural cooperative associations across several districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the field visits target cooperatives in Abs, Aslam, Bani Qais, Aflah Al-Yemen, Al-Sahil, Qafl Shamer, Kahlan Affar, Al-Maghraba, Al-Mahabsha, Khairan Al-Muharraq, Sharis, Bakil Al-Mir, Mustaba', Midi, Kushar, Washhah, Al-Jumayma, Bani Al-Awam, and Wadrah.
The meeting, which included Mobilization Official Hamoud Al-Maghrabi, Director of the Finance Office Yahya Al-Wazzan, Deputy Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office Abdulrahman Al-Mukhtar, Head of the Agricultural Cooperative Union branch Mohammed Al-Qadami, and Financial Director at the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects Financing Unit Mohammed Al-Qahali, approved the formation of a field inspection committee. This committee is composed of representatives from Social Affairs and Labor, Mobilization, Security, the Agricultural Cooperative Union, and the Monitoring Department.
The meeting emphasized the importance of evaluating and analyzing the current situation of the targeted associations, improving their performance, and following up on and assessing the results of corrective measures implemented.
Governor Al-Soufi urged the implementation of tasks according to the set plan and the submission of reports to monitor the performance of the associations, ensuring they fully carry out the role for which they were established.
He also reaffirmed the leadership's interest in multi-purpose agricultural cooperative associations, given their importance in supporting and serving farmers, as well as achieving sustainable development in agricultural and development sectors.
Al-Soufi pointed out the readiness of the local authority in the governorate to overcome obstacles facing the associations' work and support their efforts. He also praised the role of the Agricultural Cooperative Union and relevant bodies in monitoring association performance.
