Hajjah: Hajjah governorate Security Department and its security units held a protest on Tuesday in support of the Holy Quran and al-Aqsa Mosque, and in solidarity with Lebanon and Palestine. The protest, which was attended by the governorate's security director, Brigadier General Hassan al-Qasimi, his assistants, and directors, commanders, and members of the security units, condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran by the American criminal, Jake Lang.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the protest raised copies of the Holy Quran and banners denouncing the Zionist-American enemy, considering this act a deliberate insult to the Book of Allah and Islamic sanctities, and a provocation of Muslim sentiments. They chanted slogans affirming their rejection of the repeated insults to the Holy Quran and Islamic sanctities.
During the demonstration, Brigadier General Al-Qasimi explained that the crimes committed by the Americans and Zionists against the Holy Quran and holy sites are clear evidence of the enemies' hatred for Islam and Muslims. He called upon the Arab and Islamic nations and all free people of the world to condemn this crime and put an end to the repeated offenses perpetrated by the Zionists and Americans against the holiest Islamic sites.
A statement issued at the demonstration expressed condemnation and denunciation of the repeated offenses committed by the enemies of God, the Americans and Zionists, against the Holy Quran and their almost daily desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque. He indicated that the Yemeni people will not remain silent in the face of these renewed offenses and the ongoing crusades in all their forms. He called upon Muslims worldwide and the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world to fulfill their duty by taking action to wage jihad in the path of Allah, implementing boycott campaigns, and holding mass demonstrations in all cities and capitals to confront the Zionist scheme and its actions against Islam and Muslims, as well as the campaigns it is waging against the nation.
The statement emphasized that the greatest danger lies in complacency and negligence in confronting the schemes of the Jews and their agents. It affirmed the steadfastness of the Yemeni position, based on religious and moral principles, in supporting and standing with their brothers in Gaza, working towards the liberation of al-Aqsa Mosque and every inch of Palestinian land, and standing with the prisoners languishing in Israeli jails until they achieve freedom.
The statement expressed solidarity with the mujahideen of Hezbollah in Lebanon, praising Hezbollah's stances against the temporary Zionist entity. It also affirmed the high level of readiness in the face of any new developments or escalations that America and Israel might undertake in the region after the failure of their previous aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The statement noted that the mujahid Yemeni people remain present in the field of jihad, carrying the banner of Islam and at the forefront of positions supporting Islam and the Quran.
