Ibb: Ibb University, in collaboration with the Public Mobilization Department, organized a cultural seminar titled "The Slogan: A Weapon and a Stance in the Face of Enemies," commemorating the annual anniversary of the "Screaming in the Face of Arrogance."
According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar was attended by Ibb governor Abdulwahid Salah, who emphasized the importance of this anniversary in enhancing community awareness and reinforcing principled stances amidst current challenges. He described the "Screaming in the Face of Arrogance" slogan as a reflection of advanced consciousness and a clear stance against hegemonic forces, highlighting the people's deep connection to their faith and cultural identity. Governor Salah called for unity and alignment in confronting the diverse challenges facing the country.
He further highlighted the pivotal role of educational institutions, particularly universities, in shaping future generations' awareness and instilling a sense of national responsibility. Salah stressed that such initiatives are crucial in protecting youth from soft war tactics and destructive ideologies. He urged for more activities that raise awareness, strengthen resilience, and instill values that fortify community strength and cohesion.
Dr. Nasr all-Hajili, President of Ibb University, spoke about the slogan's role as a foundation for building a conscious generation capable of facing challenges. He reiterated the university's commitment to promoting cultural and intellectual awareness among students through purposeful activities and programs. Al-Hajili emphasized the university's role in providing educational and awareness-based initiatives, equipping students with the knowledge and values needed to serve and defend their country.
The seminar included a paper by Yahya al-Qasimi, Director-General of the Complaints Committee in Ibb, discussing the stages of the late martyr leader Hussein al-Houthi's efforts in establishing and applying this project. Al-Qasimi emphasized aligning efforts within the Qur'anic framework. Dr. Ali al-Zanem, a member of Parliament, provided a political and intellectual reading of the slogan, analyzing its significance amid regional and international changes. Dr. Abdullah Al-Flahi, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the university, highlighted the slogan's role in confronting imperialist forces and its contribution to national unity.
Dr. Bashir al-Emad, Dean of the Faculty of Law, presented a paper addressing the manipulations of international and humanitarian law by hegemonic powers, providing examples and evidence. The seminar concluded with recommendations for continuing cultural and awareness activities, strengthening national and faith-based values, and fortifying youth to confront challenges. Participants called for greater unity and solidarity, urging collective efforts to support resilience and national responsibility.
