Hodeidah: Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Hodeidah Governorate inaugurated the second free medical camp dedicated to the care of martyrs' families, in collaboration with the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families, as part of humanitarian initiatives coinciding with the Annual Martyr's Anniversary. The camp aims to provide free medical and therapeutic services to martyrs' families across various specialties, including surgical operations, as part of the revolutionary leadership and Supreme Political Council's ongoing care and appreciation for the sacrifices made by martyrs in defense of the nation.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the inauguration, Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi praised the efforts of Al-Thawra Hospital Authority and the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families in organizing this humanitarian initiative, which embodies loyalty and gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for the homeland. He affirmed that the local authority in the governorate gives special attention to martyrs' families, considering them symbols of resilience and generosity, noting that organizing such medical initiatives reflects a strong sense of social and humanitarian responsibility toward those who defended the nation and its sovereignty.
Halisi also commended the medical and administrative staff at the hospital for their efforts in providing quality services that help alleviate citizens' suffering and enhance healthcare in the governorate. Dr. Khaled Suhail, Chairman of Al-Thawra Hospital Authority, explained that the camp is part of a series of humanitarian and community service activities carried out by the hospital to serve society. He noted that the medical teams will provide services in specialties including general surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, and others.
Dr. Suhail added that the hospital has mobilized all its resources to ensure the success of the camp, equipping specialized clinics and providing the necessary medical equipment and supplies to guarantee comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for beneficiaries. He pointed out that this camp continues the hospital's efforts to implement free medical programs targeting martyrs' families and the most vulnerable groups, in line with the Ministry of Health's vision to expand humanitarian and medical services across the governorate's districts.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ali Al-Haddad, Director of the Health and Environment Office in the governorate, described the camp as a model of integration between health sector institutions and supporting entities in serving deserving groups, thereby enhancing the health system and improving the quality of services provided to martyrs' families and the community at large. He also praised the efforts of Al-Thawra Hospital Authority in developing medical services and implementing humanitarian and health initiatives, highlighting the progress achieved by the hospital in medical and administrative performance, making it a pioneering model in both specialized healthcare and infrastructure development.
For his part, Ali Al-Shaathmi, Director of the Hodeidah Branch of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families, stated that the camp comes within ongoing programs to support and ease the suffering of martyrs' families, expressing appreciation for the continued cooperation with Al-Thawra Hospital Authority in this regard.
