Dhahban: The Industrial Technical Institute in Dhahban, the capital Sana'a, hosted a speech event on Wednesday to honor the Republic's top-performing students in vocational and technical specialties and commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. The event also celebrated the achievements of top first-year transfer students from the institute.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister of Education for the Secondary Education Sector, Dr. Zaid Al-Hadour, extended his congratulations to the top students and graduates for their accomplishments, highlighting the institute's excellence in administration and teaching. The event was strategically timed to align with the Yemeni people's celebrations of the Prophet's birthday, with a major event planned for 12 Rabi' al-Awwal 1448 AH.
Dr. Al-Hadour emphasized the importance of technical education and vocational training for Yemen's economic and industrial progress, citing it as foundational for development. He encouraged further enrollment in these programs, noting the significant interest from young people and the expansion of technical education programs across the country.
He also announced that top graduates would receive opportunities to pursue higher education in colleges, institutes, and universities, with professional bachelor's and master's programs now available. The event was attended by notable figures, including Abdulrahman Al-Affad, Abdullah Sharaf Al-Din, and Aqeel Al-Saqqaf.
Institute Dean Dr. Nabil Jaeel acknowledged the honor of celebrating the Prophet's birthday while recognizing 15 distinguished students who ranked among the Republic's best. He urged graduates to embody the values and work ethic of the Prophet, contributing to the nation's development with their skills and knowledge.
Chairman of the Charitable Society for Qur'an Education, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amiri, congratulated the students on their success and affirmed the society's support for such ceremonies, reflecting its commitment to social development.
Ammar Awad, representing the top students, expressed gratitude for the support received from the institute's administration and staff, as well as from parents and the Charitable Society for Qur'an Education. The event concluded with the presentation of plaques and symbolic cash awards to honor the students' and teaching staff's contributions to education.
