General

Sana'a: The Third International Conference on the Great Messenger commenced today in Sana'a with the participation of scholars, academics, and cultural figures from Yemen and abroad.

According to Yemen News Agency, the three-day event, organized by the Charitable Association for Teaching the Holy Qur'an, aims to explore the personality of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) through the Qur'an, reinforce the prophetic Qur'anic methodology in the awareness and conduct of the Muslim nation, and strengthen practical attachment to the Prophet as a leader and role model.

The conference also emphasizes supporting the Palestinian cause and promoting the prophetic model in confronting Jews and global arrogance. Researchers, scholars, and academics from more than 30 countries are participating. The conference seeks to awaken the Muslim nation, strengthen internal resilience, defend the Prophet and holy sites, and foster rapprochement among Islamic elites within a Qur'anic framework to face shared challenges. It also encourages researchers to delve deeper into the Prophet's life to enrich Islamic libraries with applicable studies for state institutions and societal needs.

A total of 252 research papers are being presented across seven key themes: cultural and social, political and administrative, economic, educational, professional/industrial, media, and security/military. Conference Chairman Dr. Al-Qassim Abbas stressed the significance of the event, given the Prophet's pioneering role in saving humanity. He highlighted the collapse of international laws and conventions amid the ongoing Zionist aggression, noting that only the Prophet's methodology remains a viable path forward. Dr. Abbas emphasized the Prophet's uncompromising stance toward Jewish tribes in his era, presenting it as a model for today's struggles.

Over 400 papers were submitted to the conference, with 200 from Yemen and 52 from abroad accepted for discussion. Dr. Abbas expressed gratitude to the organizing and scientific committees and hoped the conference outcomes would provide guiding principles for governance and development in Yemen and beyond.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, President of Sana'a University, underlined the importance of convening the conference alongside the Prophet's birth anniversary, which witnessed massive public commemorations across Yemen. He framed the event as part of Yemen's principled stance, under the leadership of Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in supporting Gaza and confronting oppression.

Lebanese scholar Sheikh Maher Hammoud, President of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, delivered a televised address affirming that true love for the Prophet is expressed through action, citing Yemen and resistance movements as exemplars in standing with Palestine.

The first and second sessions of the conference featured discussions on prophetic military strategies, media's role in combating disinformation, and the relevance of prophetic principles to contemporary challenges.

The conference, as an annual academic platform, conveys to the world that the Ummah of Muhammad remains alive and that his message endures across centuries. It reinforces the idea that love for the Prophet goes beyond sentiment, requiring practical adherence to his methodology, embodying justice, mercy, and truth.
