Meteorology Forecasts Thundery Rainfall Over Socotra Archipelago, East of Gulf of Aden

Socotra: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning reported noticeable activity of rainy thunderclouds south of the Socotra Archipelago and east of the Gulf of Aden.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center expected in its weather bulletin scattered rainfall of varying intensity accompanied by thunder over Socotra Archipelago Governorate and east of the Gulf of Aden during the next 24 hours. The center also pointed to active winds with a maximum speed reaching 30 knots.

The center warned citizens in the areas expected to witness rainfall of flash floods in ravines and valleys and advised against being present in or crossing their paths during and after rainfall. Additionally, it cautioned fishermen and ship captains of rough seas and high waves.
