Staff of National Cancer Treatment Center Hold Protest Condemning Insults to Quran and al-Aqsa Mosque

Sana'a: The National Cancer Treatment Center and the Cancer Control Fund organized a protest in the capital Sana'a to condemn repeated insults to the Holy Quran and violations against al-Aqsa Mosque, while reaffirming solidarity with Gaza and Lebanon.

According to Yemen News Agency, leaders and employees of the National Cancer Treatment Center and the Cancer Control Fund participated in the protest, chanting slogans against offenses to the Holy Quran and Islamic holy sites by 'American and Zionist enemies,' as well as ongoing Israeli actions targeting al-Aqsa Mosque.

A statement issued during the protest condemned the desecration of the Quran and violations against al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasizing that these actions against Islamic sanctities would not go unanswered. It called on Arab and Islamic nations, and people globally, to take action through boycott campaigns and mass demonstrations to confront what it termed as hostile Zionist campaigns targeting Islam, Muslims, and their holy sites.

Participants reaffirmed Yemen's support for the people of Gaza and expressed commitment to the liberation of al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian territories. The statement also declared solidarity with Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon and support for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.

Additionally, the statement praised the success of summer educational programs and urged broader participation in supporting Eid aid convoys for fighters on battlefronts.
