Sanaa: The Sanaa-based Ministry of Transport and Public Works has condemned the Saudi aggressive airstrikes targeting Sana'a International Airport, describing them as a deliberate act aimed at maintaining the blockade on Yemen's airports and seaports. In a statement on Monday, the ministry said that in a dangerous escalation, the Saudi enemy launched multiple airstrikes against Sana'a International Airport.

According to Yemen News Agency, the statement added that the renewed targeting of the airport and the violation of Yemeni airspace demonstrate a deliberate Saudi determination, backed by the United States and Israeli enemy, to maintain the blockade imposed on the Yemeni people's airports and ports for more than ten years.

The ministry emphasized that the aggression reflected Saudi Arabia's insistence on depriving thousands of patients and travelers of their most basic rights guaranteed under international law, constitutions, and humanitarian principles.

The ministry called on the United Nations, the international community, and humanitarian organizations to assume their responsibilities regarding the suffocating blockade imposed on the Yemeni people for more than a decade. It also urged the United Nations to uphold the principles of international and humanitarian law and to address all cases of aggression and blockade under a single standard, free from double standards.

The ministry noted that the latest attack on Sana'a Airport came despite a prior warning issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces and following public authorization expressed through mass demonstrations and tribal gatherings. The ministry reiterated that the brutal Saudi aggression and the repeated aggression on the airport will not go unanswered or unpunished, adding that the Saudi enemy and its American backers should understand that the era of guardianship over Yemen is over forever.
