Sana'a: A meeting was held in Sana'a today, chaired by the Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, to discuss the Ministry's plan and its affiliated sectors and units for the year 1448 AH, in accordance with the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the priorities of the Change and Reconstruction Government program.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Nasser Al-Qoud, and included the Ministry's undersecretaries, heads of authorities, directors of health offices in the governorates via video conference, program directors at the Ministry, and representatives of the Planning Sector at the Prime Minister's Office. The gathering addressed priority projects within the plan that represent a significant and transformative step for the community.
The meeting reviewed the frameworks for preparing the plan, methods for setting priorities for the Ministry and its affiliated sectors and units, an evaluation of the level of achievement of the 1447 AH plan, the challenges and difficulties encountered during implementation, and proposals and solutions aimed at improving performance and raising the efficiency of planning and implementation during the next phase. At the meeting, the Minister of Health and Environment emphasized the commitment to preparing next year's plan in accordance with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the priorities of the Change and Reconstruction Government program. He urged intensified efforts and swift completion within the specified timeframe.
He pointed to the importance of coordination among various sectors to establish a modern health system that meets the needs of society and supports the achievement of sustainable development. He also stressed the necessity for everyone to recognize their religious and national responsibility to keep pace with the current stage and exert greater efforts to confront the challenges.
Minister Shaiban addressed aspects related to launching health and environmental awareness activities during summer programs in various governorates. He emphasized the importance of integrating health awareness and education into medical and health services.
He stressed the need to strengthen drug oversight and activate the information system to help reduce irregularities, enhance transparency, and facilitate service delivery. He noted that providing a comprehensive and accurate database will contribute to making sound decisions based on accurate information.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Health commended the role of the Planning Sector at the Prime Minister's Office in supporting and assisting the Ministry in preparing and implementing its plans. He emphasized the importance of integrating efforts among the various sectors and units of the Ministry, and embodying the directives of the Leader of the Revolution to improve medical and health services. He stressed the need to simplify procedures and services provided to citizens.
