Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 Index experienced a significant decline on Tuesday, closing at 7487.52 points. This marks a decrease of 261.5 points, or 3.374 percent, from the previous trading session's close of 7748.98 points.

According to Yemen News Agency, the trading value on the MSX reached 78,291,432 Omani rials, reflecting an increase of 39.7 percent compared to the previous session's value of 56,047,715 Omani rials. The daily report from the Muscat Stock Exchange highlighted a decrease in market capitalization by 1.501 percent from the previous trading day, bringing it to approximately 36.35 billion Omani rials.

Non-Omani investors were active in the market, with purchases amounting to 38 million and 838 thousand Omani riyals, accounting for 49.61 percent of the total. However, non-Omani sales were higher, totaling 49 million and 746 thousand Omani riyals, which constituted 63.54 percent. Consequently, the net non-Omani investment saw a decrease of 10 million and 908 thousand Omani riyals, or 13.93 percent.
