National Women’s Committee Condemns Saudi Aggression in Yemen

Sanaa:The National Women's Committee has condemned the continued escalation by Saudi forces targeting residential neighborhoods, civilian facilities, and populated areas across Yemen's governorates.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Committee highlighted recent attacks by the Saudi aggressors, including the death of a female student and injuries to six other civilians, including two female students, following airstrikes on the Beit Al-Luhaydah area in Sa'wan, Bani Hushaysh District. Additionally, a woman was killed in an airstrike targeting the Beit Al-Shatibi area in Sanhan District, Sana'a Governorate. The Committee also condemned the targeting of a family of four and the wounding of a young girl due to artillery shelling in the village of Umm al-Dahi in the Haradh District of Hajjah.

The Committee stated that these incidents represent a continuation of war crimes against Yemeni families, particularly affecting women and girls in educational and civilian environments. It described these attacks as violations of international law, emphasizing the need for special protection during conflicts.

The National Women's Committee held Saudi forces fully responsible for these crimes, stressing they are crimes against humanity and not subject to a statute of limitations. It criticized the international community's silence and urged the United Nations, the Security Council, and international organizations to take immediate action to halt the aggression and hold perpetrators accountable.

The Committee called for global solidarity with Yemeni women, urging human rights organizations to document and present these violations to international forums. It reaffirmed the resilience of Yemeni women in continuing to expose the systematic crimes against their lives and homeland.
