Taiz:A meeting held in Taiz Governorate, chaired by Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water Adel Bader, focused on addressing the water and sanitation needs of the governorate's liberated districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed plans to sustain and expand water and sanitation services. It also addressed stalled and suspended projects, exploring ways to resume their implementation.
Participants examined field assessments in the districts of Mawza and Al-Wazi'iyah, as well as water projects in the Al-Turbah area of Al-Shamayateen District. Emergency interventions in Dhubab, Bab al-Mandab, and Mokha were also discussed.
Bader reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to providing sustainable water and sanitation services while expanding them to meet increasing demands. He emphasized the need to secure funding for stalled projects and improve services in the liberated districts. Bader also commended the technical staff's efforts and encouraged continued work to overcome challenges and maintain water services.
