Sana'a: The local council and the General Mobilization Authority in Hayfan District, Taiz Governorate, on Thursday launched preparatory activities and events marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday for the year 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the launch event was attended by the governorate's Scholars Unit official, Ali Al-Sarouri, and Hayfan District Director Omar Owehaj, who described the occasion as an exceptional spiritual and educational milestone. He emphasized the importance of using this anniversary to strengthen practical adherence to the Prophet's teachings and draw inspiration from his exemplary life and enduring moral and humanitarian values.
Owehaj called for broad community participation in all programs related to the occasion. He urged residents to decorate villages, neighborhoods, and main streets with lights and banners and to expand cultural and awareness seminars and evening events across the district. This, he noted, would reflect the profound reverence Muslims hold for the Prophet.
He also highlighted that the commemoration coincides with a period of resilience and achievements for the nation. He stressed that adherence to the Prophet's righteous path and a sincere return to the path of guidance are the foundations for dignity and steadfastness.
Owehaj encouraged all residents of Hayfan to actively participate in ensuring the success of the preparatory program in a manner befitting the greatness and status of the Prophet. Participants at the event emphasized the importance of early planning and organization for the religious occasion, calling for teamwork and collective responsibility to ensure the success of all activities. They also highlighted the need to reinforce faith-based identity while promoting solidarity, compassion, and national unity among the district's residents.
