Sana'a: Sheikh Ali Qirsha, head of the committee appointed by the leader of the revolution and the president of the Supreme Political Council, has urged police station directors and security and military officials to bolster reconciliation and community reform efforts to address minor issues and disputes among citizens, unless they are of a serious nature or beyond amicable resolution.
According to Yemen News Agency, Sheikh Qirsha emphasized that many disputes can be effectively managed within police stations through dedicated reconciliation efforts, which can help bring the conflicting parties closer together. He highlighted that many individuals involved in disputes are primarily interested in reaching a satisfactory settlement through mediators, which would help preserve rights and mend relationships between the involved parties.
Qirsha further elaborated on the consequences of escalating minor disputes to the judicial system, noting that such actions often lead to prolonged conflicts, complicated legal procedures, and increased animosity between the parties. He explained that many cases occupy the courts for years when they could have been swiftly resolved through initial reconciliation and mutual understanding.
