Sana'a: Members of the Qur'an Sciences University and residents of Al-Khamsin subdistrict in New Sana'a District, Sana'a Governorate, gathered for a protest rally to denounce perceived insults to the Holy Qur'an. The rally, which included the participation of Abdullah Al-Marouni, the Director of New Sana'a District, featured slogans condemning racism and what was described as American extremism targeting the Noble Qur'an.
According to Yemen News Agency, the participants expressed their anger and condemnation towards actions they believe offend the Book of Allah. They urged the Islamic nation to adopt a firm stance against extremism directed at the Islamic world. The protesters voiced their opposition to what they termed as repeated American violations, which they perceive as a reflection of malice, moral decline, and a lack of respect for religious values and beliefs.
A statement released by the rally condemned ongoing insults to the Holy Qur'an and Islamic sanctities, holding the U.S. administration accountable for these violations, which they argue occur under false pretexts that contradict human values. The statement called upon Islamic governments, scholars, and religious institutions to fulfill their religious and historical responsibilities by taking practical measures to halt these insults and defend Islam and its sacred elements.
The statement further emphasized the need for enhanced faith awareness and attachment to the Book of Allah. It urged the unification of ranks to counteract the targeting and fragmentation efforts facing the Islamic nation. Additionally, the statement reiterated the readiness of district residents to mobilize in defense of the oppressed, support Palestine, and protect Islamic holy sites.
It concluded with a call for continued mobilization activities across villages and subdistricts, support for missile, air, and naval forces, and the persistence of armed rallies in preparation for any future conflicts with adversaries.
