Moscow: The Russian state nuclear corporation, Rosatom, has decided to exclude American participants from the upcoming "World Atomic Week" forum scheduled to take place in Moscow at the end of September. According to Yemen News Agency, Alexei Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom, confirmed this decision, stating that no American representatives have been invited to the international event. The forum, set to occur from September 26 to 30, is dedicated to discussing nuclear and related industries. It coincides with the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry's founding. The "World Atomic Week" forum is expected to be a significant international gathering, attracting representatives from nations with nuclear programs, various government agencies, major companies, public institutions, professional nuclear scientists, scholars, and businesspeople. This year marks a notable milestone for the Russian nuclear industry, which traces its origins back to August 20, 1945, with the establishment of the "Special Committee on the Use of Atomic Energy" by the Soviet Union, led by Lavrentiy Beria in response to American nuclear advancements. Rosatom's evolution is marked by its transformation from a secretive nuclear weapons program to becoming the world's largest nuclear company. Today, it plays a key role in influencing the global energy landscape through its technological projects and initiatives.
