Sa'ada: The Sa'ada branch of the Yemeni Standards, Metrology and Quality Control Organization destroyed quantities of spoiled and expired goods and materials today. These items were seized during a series of field inspections conducted in the first half of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the destruction process was attended by key officials, including the Deputy Governor, Mohammed Al-Ba'dani, the Director of the Economy and Investment Office, Khaled Al-Dhiban, and the Public Funds Prosecutor, Judge Mahmoud Al-Alawi. The branch director, Osama Al-Mu'ayyad, emphasized that their efforts are ongoing to ensure the safety and quality of goods circulating in the markets, particularly during this time of heightened consumer activity.
Osama Al-Mu'ayyad highlighted that the branch is committed to taking strict actions against any materials found to be non-compliant with specifications or expired. The necessary legal measures, including confiscation and destruction of such goods, will continue to be enforced in accordance with applicable regulations.
