Sana'a: The Shura Council on Tuesday endorsed the strategic vision and directives outlined by the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, on the occasion of the new Hijri year 1448 AH, marking a significant shift towards asserting national sovereignty and ending the ongoing blockade.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Council's statement emphasized that the Leader's directives signify a crucial turning point for the country, transitioning from a defensive stance to a comprehensive initiative. This initiative aims to restructure the internal situation and foster a genuine partnership that integrates governmental and societal efforts. The goal is to counter the economic warfare, protect Yemen's resources, and boost local production to mitigate the effects of the prolonged aggression and blockade, which have lasted for more than 11 years.
The statement further highlighted the urgent need for all national factions to acknowledge their religious and political responsibilities. It called for unity around common principles to thwart the aggression coalition and its international supporters, which include America and Israel, along with their regional allies, who seek to maintain Yemen's instability and dependency.
The Shura Council praised the swift response and readiness of the General Mobilization Forces and the Popular Support Brigades following the Leader's call. It viewed this mobilization and its coordination with the Armed Forces as essential for strengthening the home front and deterring potential acts of aggression.
Additionally, the Council encouraged the Yemeni people and tribes to sustain their revolutionary momentum, continue training in mobilization camps like "Al-Aqsa Flood," and enhance their awareness and preparedness for any military and security challenges.
The Shura Council reiterated Yemen's steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their resistance, emphasizing its commitment to unity within the axis of jihad and resistance. It stressed that the cohesion between leadership, the army, and the people is vital for securing legitimate rights and achieving full independence.
