Sana'a: On this day, July 2, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression targeted Yemeni citizens, their property, markets, and infrastructure in several governorates, resulting in numerous martyrs and wounded individuals, alongside extensive destruction to both public and private property.
According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression has consistently launched airstrikes and artillery shelling across various regions in Yemen over the years. On July 2, 2015, airstrikes in the Al-Talh area of Sahar district and the Officers' Quarter in Saada city resulted in the martyrdom of two citizens and injuries to 15 others. The attacks led to the destruction of many homes and damage to others. Further strikes targeted Al-Qal'ah in Razih district and included missile and artillery shelling by the Saudi army on Al-Ghawr in Ghamr district.
Tragedy struck in the capital Sana'a as a citizen and his two daughters were martyred, while three other family members were injured due to airstrikes on Al-Nahda neighborhood and the Libyan City. A family of five was also martyred in Al-Omrani neighborhood as the aggression aircraft targeted civilian homes and facilities.
The aggression continued in 2016 with airstrikes on a health center in Al-Rahedah district in Taiz governorate, resulting in one martyr and injuries to another. Various districts in Al-Jawf governorate and other regions suffered similar attacks, causing widespread damage.
In 2017, the aggression aircraft launched multiple airstrikes on Haradh and Midi districts in Hajjah governorate, Sirwah in Marib governorate, and areas in Jizan. Desalination tanks on Kamaran Island in Al-Hodeida governorate were targeted, leading to significant damage to citizens' homes and farms.
By 2018, airstrikes had resulted in the martyrdom of three citizens and injuries to three others, including a child, in Zabid city, Al-Hodeida governorate. The aircraft also targeted educational institutions and a restaurant, causing considerable destruction.
The aggression's impact in 2019 saw airstrikes on the customs crossing in Maytam, Ibb governorate, and residential areas in Taiz and Saada governorates. Artillery shelling in Al-Hodeida governorate led to the burning and damage of several homes.
In 2020, airstrikes on Al-Maqash area near Saada city resulted in the martyrdom of a girl and an elderly woman, with extensive damage to public and private properties across various governorates.
The aggression persisted in 2021 with more airstrikes and artillery shelling, injuring citizens in Saada governorate and targeting several districts in Marib and Al-Hodeida governorates. Combat fortifications and shelling by mercenaries continued to exacerbate the situation.
By 2022, multiple governorates, including Marib, Hajjah, Saada, and Al-Hodeida, suffered from artillery shelling and airstrikes, with mercenaries establishing combat positions and continuing aggressive actions.
Most recently, on July 2, 2023, the mercenaries established combat fortifications in Al-Jabaliyah and Hays districts, continuing to shell various areas in Al-Hodeida governorate, causing ongoing distress and destruction.
