Sana'a: On this day, July 14, multiple years have witnessed significant casualties and destruction in Yemen due to US-Saudi-Emirati aggression, with airstrikes and shelling affecting various governorates across the country. The attacks have resulted in the deaths and injuries of numerous civilians, including women and children, and have caused extensive damage to infrastructure and property.
According to Yemen News Agency, on July 14, 2015, eight citizens lost their lives, and several others were injured in an airstrike on the Al-Farsh area in Haradh District, Hajjah Governorate. In Sana'a Governorate, more than 30 citizens were injured when residential neighborhoods were targeted. Additional airstrikes in the capital hit Mount Nuqum, the Vocational Institute, Hotel Institute, and other areas, further exacerbating the destruction.
In subsequent years, the aggression continued unabated. On July 14, 2016, civilians in the Al-Mazrou' area of Sahar District were injured due to the explosion of cluster bombs, while further airstrikes and shelling targeted residential areas in multiple districts causing significant destruction. By July 14, 2017, airstrikes in Nihm District in Sana'a Governorate and other locations continued to damage citizens' farms and properties.
The aggression persisted through 2018 and beyond, with 2019 marking the injury of civilians in Al Hudaydah Governorate from mercenary fire and mortar shells. The aggression aircraft targeted homes, while mercenaries shelled numerous areas with artillery. In 2020, an elderly woman succumbed to wounds from Saudi shelling, with airstrikes causing further damage across Marib and Jawf Governorates.
In 2021, Saudi artillery and airstrikes targeted civilians in Munabbih and Sarwah Districts, damaging property. Reconnaissance aircraft and mercenary shelling continued to impact several areas. By 2022, landmines and unexploded ordnance left behind by aggression resulted in civilian injuries, including children, with intense shelling continuing across multiple governorates.
Most recently, on July 14, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft conducted raids in Taiz Governorate, with mercenaries establishing combat positions and continuing to shell areas in Hodeida Governorate with artillery and various ammunition types. The ongoing aggression highlights the sustained impact on the Yemeni population and infrastructure over the years.
