US-Saudi-Emirati Air Raids Result in Casualties and Damage Across Multiple Yemeni Districts

Sana'a: On this day, May 19, the aircraft of the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition conducted a series of airstrikes targeting citizens' homes, farms, and infrastructure across various regions in Yemen, leading to casualties and significant destruction.

According to Yemen News Agency, the airstrikes commenced on May 19, 2015, when nine citizens lost their lives and three others sustained injuries during an attack on Al-Hazah village in the Samarah area of Yarim district in Ibb governorate. The aggression also targeted the Iryan road near the historic Jurf Asaad site in Al-Qafr district. In Saada district, an airstrike resulted in one fatality and four injuries, including a child, while destroying five houses.

The coalition's aircraft launched over 100 raids on Saada city and surrounding areas, including Al-Jaamalah, Sahar, Al-Baqa, Al-Malahidh, and Baqim, also impacting Al-Dhalea and Hajjah governorates. In Sana'a, more than 20 raids were conducted in various locations, including the capital city, Sanhan and Bani Bahlul district, and several military camps.

The following years saw continued strikes. On May 19, 2016, a woman was killed during an airstrike in the Wald Masoud area in Sahar district, with extensive property damage reported. Mercenaries targeted residential neighborhoods in Al-Dhalea governorate, while missile and artillery attacks were reported in Nihm and Al-Jawf governorates.

In 2017, seven children from a single family were killed in an airstrike in Al-Jar area of Hajjah governorate, with additional casualties in Bani Hassan area. Marib and Hajjah governorates also faced drone and airstrikes, while artillery shelling targeted Haradh district.

The aggression continued on May 19, 2018, with airstrikes in Nihm and Saada governorates, while Saudi missile and artillery shelling affected Razih district. In 2019, a missile attack in Al-Dhalea governorate resulted in casualties, and shelling in Al-Hodeida governorate caused severe damage to residential areas.

The coalition's actions persisted into 2020, with multiple airstrikes across Saada, Marib, Hajjah, and Al-Jawf governorates. Al-Hodeida experienced intensive shelling and gunfire, affecting multiple districts and residential areas.

On May 19, 2021, a child was injured by a leftover bomb in Nihm district. Airstrikes and artillery shelling continued in Saada and Marib governorates, while reconnaissance aircraft targeted Al-Hodeida governorate.

In 2022, airstrikes in Al-Bayda governorate resulted in further destruction, and mercenaries established combat fortifications in various regions, leading to ongoing artillery shelling and gunfire across Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, Al-Dhalea, and other border areas.
