According to Yemen News Agency, on August 23, 2015, coalition warplanes launched airstrikes across various regions including Ibb, Marib, Al-Jadaan, and Bayda Governorate, destroying vital infrastructure and civilian properties. The strikes resulted in significant damage to homes, a hospital, and public facilities.
In 2016, a family was killed in Taiz city following an airstrike that destroyed their home. The coalition further targeted neighborhoods, hotels, and the telecommunications network, leading to extensive damage across multiple governorates like Saada and Marib.
The violence continued on August 23, 2017, with 48 civilians killed in Sana'a Governorate after airstrikes hit a rest stop. Additional strikes in Sanhan and Hajjah Governorates resulted in further casualties and property damage.
On August 23, 2018, a coalition airstrike in Hodeida Governorate killed 31 civilians, including children, while other strikes in Saada Governorate targeted homes and farms, compounding the humanitarian crisis.
In 2019, the coalition targeted infrastructure in Amran and Saada Governorates, while shelling in Hodeida city damaged public and private properties. Airstrikes in 2020 continued to cause civilian casualties and destruction across various districts.
The attacks persisted into 2021, with civilian deaths and property damage reported in Saada and Marib Governorates. Further, mercenaries established combat fortifications in Hodeida, exacerbating the conflict.
In 2022, reconnaissance aircraft and mercenaries caused destruction in Marib, Taiz, and Hodeida Governorates. On August 23, 2023, airstrikes targeted districts in Taiz and Hodeida, with mercenaries shelling several areas.
Most recently, on August 23, 2024, unexploded ordnance left by the coalition resulted in the death and injury of civilians in Hodeida Governorate, highlighting the ongoing dangers posed by remnants of war.
