Wassab As-Safil Training Course Enhances Animal Health Care Skills

Wassab as-safil: A specialized training course in animal health and care concluded in Wassab As-Safil District, Dhamar Governorate.



According to Yemen News Agency, the 20-day course was organized by the Wassab As-Safil Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Society, in collaboration with the Bunyan Development Foundation and the Bunyan Academy for Training and Rehabilitation. It aimed to equip 28 animal health professionals with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in animal disease prevention methods, initial diagnostic techniques, and proper livestock care.



The course, funded by the governorate’s Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Funding Unit, emphasized the importance of regular livestock vaccination, improving breeding and feeding practices, and raising community awareness of sound health procedures. This contributes to reducing disease incidence and minimizing economic losses in the livestock sector. In closing, the director of the directorate, Fouad Al-Qudaimi, emphasized the importance of this training course in developing the skills of local staff working in the community veterinary sector. He noted that such programs are part of a strategy aimed at improving animal health and developing livestock, which is a cornerstone of the rural economy.



For his part, Mohammed Al-Alawi, head of the Wassab As-Safil Cooperative Agricultural Society, highlighted the importance of this course in advancing the agricultural sector and promoting sustainable local development. He also commended the role of the Project Financing Unit.
