Sana'a: The Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party - Yemen Region condemned the Saudi regime's strike on Sana'a International Airport, describing it as a failed attempt to prevent Yemen's official delegation, along with patients and stranded citizens, from returning home from Tehran.

According to Yemen News Agency, the party described the attack as a criminal and terrorist assault on Yemen's sovereignty, saying it reflected what it called the Saudi regime's continued belief that Yemen remained under its tutelage. The statement added that Yemen had freed itself from all external domination through its revolutionary and political leadership, the resilience of its people, and its armed forces, which have confronted what it described as aggression for more than a decade.

The party highlighted the unity of the domestic front and the readiness of Yemen's political, popular, and tribal forces to confront any further escalation by what it called the Saudi regime, backed by the United States and Israel.

The statement said the nationwide mobilization and public support for the leadership demonstrated the Yemeni people's determination to end the aggression, occupation, and blockade, restore full sovereignty, and enable Yemenis to benefit from their country's resources.

The Ba'ath Party reaffirmed what it described as the Yemeni people's legitimate right to respond to the Saudi attacks in kind, stating that defending the nation and its people is a religious, national, moral, humanitarian, lawful right recognized under Islamic principles and international law.

The party also called on the United Nations, the international community, and humanitarian organizations to assume their responsibilities regarding what it described as the ongoing attacks and blockade imposed on Yemen, calling them serious violations of international law.

The statement further expressed solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran over what it described as recurring U.S.-Israeli aggression, while praising Iran's role in helping break the blockade on Yemen, particularly the restrictions on its airports, and facilitating the return of the Yemeni delegation that had attended the funeral ceremony of the late leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
