Taiz: Acting governor of Taiz province Ahmed al-Masawa on Tuesday inaugurated the Agricultural Services Center of al-Taezeyah Multi-Purpose Cooperative Agricultural Association, marking the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center was funded by the local authority through the Agricultural and Fisheries Project Financing Unit. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to boost agricultural development and achieve food self-sufficiency in line with national priorities.
Officials highlighted that the center is the fourth to open this month, aiming to support farmers by providing seeds, fertilizers, and modern extension services designed to increase production. Director of the Financing Unit Hussein al-Rashdi explained that this center is part of a broader plan encompassing similar projects in other districts, with a total investment of 24 million Y.R.
Local leaders emphasized the center's significant role in empowering farmers, combating crop pests, and fostering a productive, self-reliant rural economy.
