Al-hodeidah: A cultural seminar was organized by the General Authority for Endowments and the Guidance Office, in collaboration with the Scholars and Educators Unit in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, to commemorate Ashura and the martyrdom of Imam Hussein. The event, held at Al-Aswadi Mosque in Al-Hodeidah city, aimed to highlight the significance of the Karbala tragedy and the enduring impact on the Islamic nation.
According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar delved into the historical details of the Battle of al-Taff and the suffering inflicted on the Prophet's Household. It explored the conflict between justice and tyranny and the attempts to distort the true religion. The discussion, led by Sheikh Ali Somal and Sheikh Mohammed Balghith, emphasized the lessons from the Hussaini school of thought, advocating for dignity, honor, and liberation from external domination.
Somal and Balghith drew parallels between past and present, comparing the Yemeni people's ongoing struggle under blockade to the tragedy of Karbala. They asserted that Ashura's commemoration reflects a deeper connection to Imam Hussein's legacy and praised the sacrifices made for Yemen's sovereignty and independence.
The seminar included discussions on promoting societal awareness of the Hussaini revolution's principles and fostering internal unity to counter threats against the country.
