General

Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity across parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates that thunderstorms are expected to impact areas within the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahweet, Hajjah, Saada, and the Tihama Plain. These regions may experience thunderstorms of varying intensity during this period.

In addition to these areas, scattered, sometimes thundery, rain is also predicted in parts of Marib, Shabwah, Lahj, Dhale'a, Sana'a, Amran, as well as the southern and western coastal areas. The center has issued a warning for citizens to exercise caution during thunderstorms.

The advisory urges residents to avoid flood channels or crossing them during and after the rainfall. It also highlights the potential for mudslides and rockfalls on mountain roads, while advising caution due to reduced visibility on roads and mountain slopes caused by low-lying clouds or fog.
