Sanaa: Employees of the General Corporation for Red Sea Ports in Yemen and other sectors operating at Hodeida Port held a large rally today to affirm their complete readiness and preparedness to implement the directives of the leader of the revolution to end the aggression and the blockade, under the slogan "Readiness and Mobilization... to End the Aggression and the Blockade."
According to Yemen News Agency, the participants in the rally, led by Deputy Governor Mohammed Halisi, Chairman of the Ports Authority Zaid Al-Washli, and his deputy Nasr Al-Nusairi, affirmed their unwavering support for the revolutionary leadership. They renewed their pledge to continue fulfilling their national duty of protecting vital facilities and bolstering the resilience of the ports, which serve as an economic and humanitarian lifeline for the Yemeni people and embody their will to persevere and confront various challenges.
They pointed out that the Red Sea ports have been subjected to systematic targeting over the years of aggression, affecting their infrastructure and operational facilities, in an attempt to disrupt their economic and humanitarian role, impede navigation and trade, and inflict further suffering on the Yemeni people. They emphasized that these attacks have only strengthened the resolve of port workers to continue their work and maintain the continuity of services.
The participants explained that the port's staff and other sectors operating within the port have continued to perform their duties under all circumstances, contributing to the continued reception of ships, goods, and essential supplies, despite the challenges resulting from the blockade and targeting. This reflects the national responsibility that port workers possess and their commitment to serving the nation and its citizens. They emphasized that the current phase necessitates raising the level of preparedness and enhancing performance across all sectors to meet the demands of the present stage, contribute to protecting vital infrastructure, safeguard national achievements, bolster economic resilience, and strengthen the ports' capacity to fulfill their national role in serving the economy and securing citizens' needs.
The statement issued at the rally affirmed that the employees of the Ports Authority and the sectors operating at Hodeida Port will remain at the forefront of fulfilling their national duty and will continue working with a spirit of responsibility and dedication, thereby strengthening the resilience of the economic front and ensuring the continued operation of the ports as a fundamental pillar of the national economy.
They considered the blockade and repeated targeting of the ports a violation of international laws and norms, and a direct attack on the interests of the Yemeni people and their human and economic rights, stressing that these practices will not undermine the will of the workers or impede their performance of their national duty.
The statement declared its support for and endorsement of what was stated in the statement of the Leader of the Revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet's migration, and what it included in terms of wise and practical directives in the areas of construction, rehabilitation, preparation, and readiness, stressing the commitment to translating those directives into practical steps that contribute to breaking the siege.
The statement praised the close integration between official and community roles in confronting the challenges and risks stemming from the economic war and maritime piracy perpetrated by global powers, emphasizing the Corporation's continued efforts to maintain port operations despite the challenges imposed by the aggression and blockade and their repercussions on infrastructure and operational services.
The statement called for unifying official and community efforts to bolster the resilience of economic and service institutions and develop their operational capabilities, enabling them to continue fulfilling their national mission, mitigate the effects of the blockade, and maintain the smooth flow of commercial and humanitarian traffic through Red Sea ports.
The Corporation and port personnel reaffirmed their readiness to implement the directives of the revolutionary leadership and contribute to all that strengthens the nation's resilience and preserves its sovereignty, stressing that port workers combine their professional duties with their national duty to defend the interests of the Yemeni people and protect their resources.
