Sanaa: In his seventh Ramadan lecture, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi continued his reflections on the story of Prophet Musa (PBUH), as narrated in Surah Al-Qasas. The lecture highlighted the critical roles played by women in the early life of Prophet Musa, emphasizing the divine intervention and faith-based responsibilities of these women.

According to Yemen News Agency, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi began by revisiting the moment when Firaawn's wife pleaded for the life of Musa as an infant. The Quranic verse that portrays this plea underscores her eventual belief in Musa's mission and presents her as a model of faith among women. This intervention by Firaawn's wife was considered a divine act, protecting Musa from immediate harm.

The lecture also recounted the profound faith and emotional turmoil experienced by Musa's mother. Despite the daunting task of casting her infant son into the river, she demonstrated immense trust in Allah's promise. Her actions, born out of faith, were accompanied by severe anxiety about her son's fate. The Quran captures the intensity of her maternal anguish and the divine reassurance she received to maintain her secrecy, which was crucial for the plan's success.

Sayyed Abdulmalik further elaborated on the divine care that manifests in moments of severe trial, particularly highlighting how Allah strengthens the hearts of believers to endure psychological pressures. This divine support is vital for maintaining composure and ensuring the success of faith-based missions.

The lecture also shed light on the critical role of Musa's sister, who was tasked with discreetly tracking the infant's journey. Her successful execution of this task, without alerting Firaawn's people, demonstrated the importance of confidentiality and strategic planning in faith-based endeavors. Her intervention at a crucial moment, suggesting a family that could nurse Musa, ultimately led to his safe return to his mother, fulfilling Allah's promise.

Sayyed Abdulmalik concluded by emphasizing the divine plan that unfolds through the actions of believing individuals, as well as the importance of maintaining secrecy in practical planning, particularly in the context of striving in the path of Allah. He highlighted the sacred responsibilities of women within this framework, contrasting it with the degradation they faced under Firaawn's rule.

The lecture ended with prayers for success, mercy for martyrs, healing for the wounded, freedom for captives, and victory for the faithful, with a call for Allah to accept the fasting, prayers, and good deeds of the believers.
