Sana'a: The Acting Prime Minister, Scholar Mohammed Miftah, received today in Sana'a the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sana'a, Ali Rezaei. During the meeting, attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, the fraternal cooperative relations between Yemen and Iran were discussed, along with ways to enhance and develop them in various vital fields and at the popular level.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Acting Prime Minister expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership, government, and people, on the martyrdom of the leader Ali Al-Husseini Al-Khamenei, whose body was laid to rest last week in an unprecedented popular turnout in human history. He affirmed Yemen's solidarity, under the leadership of the Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, with the brothers in Iran in confronting American-Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic.
Miftah emphasized the importance of supporting the legitimate right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to confront the criminal aggression, which reveals the aggressive nature of the American enemy and its ingrained approach of breaking agreements and covenants.
For his part, Ambassador Rezaei noted the level of fraternal and historical relations binding the two countries and the brotherly peoples, praising the official and popular stance of Yemen in supporting Iran and the Axis of Jihad and Resistance. He affirmed Tehran's standing with Sana'a and its efforts and options to end the aggression, lift the unjust siege, and alleviate the suffering of the dear people.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sana'a.
