Taiz: The Taiz Governorate witnessed mass marches held in 94 squares to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Zaid and express support for the Armed Forces' statement under the slogan: 'Insight and Jihad.'
According to Yemen News Agency, participants, including official, executive, military, and social figures, raised banners and slogans expressing religious identity and rejection of foreign domination. They affirmed their commitment to Imam Zaid's path of promoting virtue and opposing wrongdoing, while continuing the struggle for liberation and national independence.
The marches were organized in the governorate's districts in two periods, morning and evening, with the main gathering at the central Al-Rasoul Al-Azam Square in Mafraq Mawiyah. Additional gatherings took place in several districts including Maqbanah, Khadir, Sharab Al-Rawna, Salah, Haifan, Al-Sulo, Jabal Habashi, Saber Al-Mawadem, Al-Mawaset, Al-Masrakh, and Sama'.
A statement issued during the marches emphasized Imam Zaid's uprising was rooted in adherence to the Quran, urging the Muslim nation to take firm positions against those who insult Islamic sanctities, the Holy Quran, and Prophet Muhammad.
The statement highlighted Imam Zaid's revolution as a comprehensive model of struggle needed by Muslims in confronting global arrogance, while reaffirming Yemen's support for the Palestinian cause, resistance movements, and oppressed peoples in Arab and Islamic countries.
It also welcomed Iran's move to break the blockade imposed on Yemeni airports and expressed full support for statements and military operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The statement warned the opposing forces against continuing occupation and siege, stressing that response options remain open and legitimate.
