Taiz: The Taiz governorate Security Department organized a cultural and oratorical event on Tuesday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
According to Yemen News Agency, Mohammed al-Washli, head of the governorate's planning sector, highlighted that the Islamic nation is currently at a significant historical crossroads. He emphasized the necessity for unity, combined efforts, and preparedness to reshape the global order through a sound Islamic vision. This vision aims to establish a new regional map devoid of American and Zionist influence.
Al-Washli provided an analysis of four critical stages associated with the Umayyad dynasty's role and its extensive impact on the nation's path. He discussed the origins of political and intellectual deviations that plagued governance systems, linking these deviations to the tragic events following Imam Hussein's martyrdom in Karbala. He argued that these shifts in governance values led to Islam's decline and the enduring weaknesses faced by Muslims.
He underscored the significance of unity, cooperation, and collective readiness to tackle present and future challenges. Al-Washli advocated for shaping a global reality grounded in an authentic Islamic vision, which he believes will terminate American and Zionist dominance in the region and establish a future rooted in justice and freedom.
The event also featured speeches on moral guidance by Mohammed Hashim and a welcoming address by Lieutenant Colonel Abdulrazzaq al-Najm. They recounted Imam Hussein's revolution, which remains a symbol of resistance against arrogance, injustice, and aggression. The speakers highlighted Yemen's role in supporting Imam Hussein and drew parallels to the current situation in Gaza, where Zionist aggression poses significant threats, urging support for the oppressed and vulnerable.
