Sana'a: The technical team for preparing the comprehensive vision for the national quality strategy at the Standards Authority discussed a number of issues and axes related to the mechanism for developing the national quality strategy. The meeting, chaired by the Executive Director of the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control, Abdullah Al Atifi, reviewed what has been accomplished during the past period in terms of work and tasks related to preparing the initial vision for the national quality strategy and the technical and organizational steps achieved within the framework of preparing the comprehensive document of the strategy.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting discussed continuing to complete the necessary arrangements for the analysis and evaluation phase of all the Authority's activities, as it is a fundamental phase that contributes to diagnosing performance reality, identifying strengths and development opportunities, leading to the preparation of a national strategy based on scientific foundations and realistic indicators that support development and sustainable improvement plans.
During the meeting, Al Atifi stressed the importance of preparing a national quality strategy as it represents a qualitative shift through strategic thinking and determining the Authority's priorities and future directions, which helps it adapt to international changes. He pointed out that resuming the technical team meeting comes within the framework of efforts aimed at developing the national quality system and enhancing the efficiency of institutional performance in various sectors, based on the tasks and competencies of the Authority as an important service institution that plays a vital role in preserving consumer health and safety, protecting the environment, and supporting the national economy.
He urged continuing work at a high technical and organizational pace to complete the national quality strategy, stressing the necessity of integrating roles and intensifying efforts to achieve the desired goals and contribute to strengthening the national quality system and developing institutional performance in various bodies and institutions.
The meeting touched on the importance of unifying visions and efforts among relevant parties and working to formulate a national strategy capable of enhancing the culture of quality, improving institutional performance, and raising the efficiency of national services and products in line with development requirements and enhancing competitiveness at the national level.
