Sana'a: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources announced the closure of the squid fishing season in the Red Sea, within the territorial waters of the Republic of Yemen, effective Monday, June 8, 2026 (24 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH). According to Yemen News Agency, in a decision issued today, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Ministry called upon the General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea to conduct an inventory of squid quantities and quantities stored in refrigerators belonging to exporters and others, and to submit the results to the Ministry within ten days of the date of the decision.
